I tend to not get overly tied up in looking back at historical events. I've been lucky enough to never be directly affected by a hurricane, earthquake, tornado, or any large scale tragic event. Still, I can tell you that ten years ago today was a Tuesday. It was career day at my college and I went to an early morning class. After class, I went to the cafeteria for breakfast to find everyone standing around the TVs. The first tower had just fallen.
It didn't directly affect me, but I will still never forget where I was or how that day changed America. And I guess, in the end, if you remember something forever, then you were affected.
