I'm not sure if it's just her getting older, or changing to more formula, or a combination of both, but Brooklynn is starting to sleep longer and more overall than she did just a few weeks ago. We've been working hard on getting her to fall asleep by herself without being rocked or cuddled until she is all the way out and we seem to be making progress. We can usually lay her down with open eyes and she'll put herself to sleep, and this might be one of the reasons she is sleeping longer stretches without waking all the way up and crying.
In fact, she's starting to sleep when we don't want her to. So far, it hasn't affected the sleeping at night, but I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop and have a night where she is up and wide-eyed for most of it.
Sadly, I don't think she's old enough that threatening to take away toys if she doesn't go back to bed right this instant will have any affect on her, especially since her main toy is a red cup we use to dump water on her in the bath.
