Yesterday, after work, we decided that neither of us really felt like cooking and we didn't want to go out to eat, so we found ourselves meandering the aisles of the grocery store frozen food section. The weather was cloudy and somewhat rainy - close enough to snow that we went back to our old standby bad weather meal of pizza. With a frozen pizza and some chicken quesadilla rolls already in a basket, we were picking out a quart of ice cream for some dessert over the next week. As I put the ice cream in our basket along with the pizza, quesadilla rolls, and a strawberry-rhubarb pie that looked good and was on sale, I made the comment that this food should be enough for now.
A man that neither of us recognized walking by turned and said, to Rhiannon, "You know, if you're having cravings, you should just get two packages of ice cream right away, and maybe some syrup topping to go with it."
Once I figured out he wasn't talking to me, it made a lot more sense. And in the end, after careful consideration, we just went with the one container (Triple Brownie flavor, for the win). It was, however, one of the best suggestions I heard all week.
