For those of you a little unfamiliar with the blogosphere (or blog type websites in general), each November is National Blog Posting Month, or NaBloPoMo for short. The goal is simple - at least one post per day, every day, for an entire month. Including Thanksgiving. Including that day where you are really busy. It got its inspiration from National Novel Month, where people work to write an entire novel in one month. Some of them have even been published. Crazy, right? If you've been following along with my extreme lack of writing recently, you'll know that I am great at finding excuses and reasons why I haven't been writing. My job is hectic. I've been preoccupied with... Ok, I'm out of excuses already. So I'm going to give this a go. Every day for a month, including holidays and weekends.
I decided I would do this a few days ago, and I'm actually looking forward to having the motivation to write something, even if it's pointless, each day. I'm not happy with the level of commitment I have to this site, and I'm going to do better.
I think some sort of karmic influence is against me in this. Last night, when I got home for work, our internet was out. Down. Zero bytes getting through. It's still down this morning. I know people say it's good to unplug and disconnect once in a while, but seriously, the lack of internet is really killing my over here.
Someone from the cable company is scheduled to come and look at it this afternoon. I'm at the library right now, using their free internet. That's how dedicated I am about this. And that's how thankful to have a laptop I should be as well.
I'll let you know how it goes, because goodness knows, I'll need something to say on those days when nothing seems interesting to me.
