Being out in New York, we aren't going to be taking any of our father's out for a nice meal. We didn't think ahead to send cards or letters before we left. Frankly, we were a little preoccupied over the past week getting ready and traveling out here.
But we would all like to say thanks.
Thanks for letting two teenagers come out to the east coast when you have never had that opportunity yourself. Thanks for trusting their older sister to take care of them.
Thanks for doing enough traveling when I was younger and teaching me to be independent and self-reliant enough I felt ok taking this trip and being responsible for people besides myself.
Thanks for putting us all in a situation where something like this is possible. We're having a great time, and we wouldn't be here without our past experiences and the people behind us.
And, if there happens to be a father out there with a borderline unhealthy obsession with chocolate...
Well, Happy Father's Day.
