“Researchers” at a college have found the biggest prime number – it has over nine million digits in it. I know there are some algorithms and a lot of computing power going into this, and there is a $100k prize for the first prime number over 10 million digits, but really – did the researchers do a whole lot besides wait for the computer to tell them the answer?
